"The Evening Star takes the classic Ohio Star and adds pieced corners, turning four points into a full eight — a favourite among reproduction quilters recreating 1860s sampler quilts. Worked here in delft blue, salmon and cream across a 6"" hoop, it has real presence without losing that quick-make charm.

- Finished size: 5.1"" x 5.1"" (13.1cm x 13.1cm) on 14 count aida, or 4.5"" x 4.5"" (11.4cm x 11.4cm) on 16 count aida
- Designed to fit comfortably in a 6"" hoop with fabric to spare for mounting
- Fabric: 14 or 16 count aida (cream/white recommended) — my own stitched sample is worked on 16 count for a finer, more detailed finish, but 14 count works just as beautifully and gives you a slightly larger finished piece if you'd prefer that
